July 1, 2009. Deadline for 2009 annual MVP2 Awards All members are encouraged to apply for these prestigious awards and nominate their colleagues for their accomplishments in the pollution prevention field. 

July 16, 2009. The Minnesota Road Show. Donaldson Company, Campus West, Bloomington, MN (also in Duluth, St. Cloud and Rochester). 7:45 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. The Minnesota Road Show provides an opportunity to learn, network, and discuss challenges across sectors. National experts and experienced local fleet managers will present on emission reduction strategies, alternative fuels, available technology, and funding opportunities. July 28, 2009. Public hearing regarding MPCA Proposed Air and Water Permit Fees Rules. See Web site for various locations. 1:00 and 6:00 p.m. The MPCA has been gathering input from permit holders and stakeholders across the state. Additionally, the MPCA researched permit fee structures from other states to formulate ideas for an application fee system. The rule has now entered the formal public comment stage of the rulemaking process with public hearings. See Web site for submission information regarding comments on the proposed rules procedure.

July 28-31, 2009. Minnesota Waste Operators Association 33rd Annual Conference. Timber Lake Lodge Hotel, Grand Rapids, MN. 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Sessions concerning biosolids, collection systems, maintenance, new plants and operation and maintenance will be held, as well as vendor displays.
