Nathan is the new Intern Program Administrator and Waste Reduction Specialist for MnTAP. He has completed 2 intern projects with MnTAP. The first was in 2015 in Southwest Minnesota helping small businesses reduce solid waste generation and improve recycling practices. Nathan developed a replication model for other businesses to follow. In 2016, he completed his second project in Woodbury, MN developing the Residential irrigation pilot program to test the water savings potential of smart irrigation controllers.
Nathan will be focussing on facilitating development of the summer intern program and leading intern recruitment efforts. Additionally, he will provide technical assistance in the areas of solid waste infrastructure, particularly through reuse networking and development of the Minnesota Materials Exchange Program. Nathan is also experienced in solid waste auditing and irrigation technology.

Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences, Policy and Management with an emphasis in Corporate Environmental Management, University of Minnesota
